Andrea Pacioni nasce a Roma l’otto marzo millenovecentosettanta.
Si diploma all'Istituto di stato per la Cinematografia e Televisione "R. Rossellini" di Roma. La sua formazione artistica la deve soprattutto all’incontro nel 1992 con Arthur Patten. Arturo, come amava farsi chiamare, era un ritrattista di grande sensibilità e fu per Pacioni un maestro e un vero amico fino alla sua scomparsa.
Da quel momento sente la necessità di approfondire la propria ricerca artistica.
Il bisogno di trovare materiali nuovi su cui impressionare ed imprigionare le proprie immagini lo portano attraverso un lungo percorso di sperimentazioni all’interno della camera oscura. Per due anni interrompe totalmente l’attività professionale dedicandosi esclusivamente alla ricerca che lo porterà ad utilizzare diversi materiali fino alla realizzazione di “Plumbee Visioni”, sei immagini b/n stampate manualmente su fogli di piombo, che saranno esposte prima a Roma, poi Londra e Parigi.
Nel 2006 realizza “Il Corpo di Cristo”, un’opera realizzata su ardesia nera sulla quale è stata impressionata l'immagine di un ragazzo di colore raffigurante la crocifissione.
Anche in questo caso l'intero procedimento è stato curato manualmente in camera oscura. L'opera è stata esposta nel maggio del 2006 all’interno della basilica di S. Maria in Montesanto (Chiesa degli Artisti) a Roma.
Nel novembre del 2006 la galleria Santa Cecilia di Roma presenta “Anime”.
Anime è un lavoro realizzato all’interno dell’istituto “Città dei Ragazzi”. La Città dei Ragazzi è un collegio per giovani in difficoltà situato nella periferia sud di Roma. Chi ha avuto la fortuna o la disavventura di crescere in questa struttura porta con sé una traccia indelebile di quel passaggio. Un pezzo della propria anima rimarrà per sempre tra quelle quattro mura.
Le “Anime” sono veli leggerissimi di emulsione fotografica priva di supporto, appese ad un finissimo filo d’acciaio all’interno di teche di ferro e vetro.

Dal 2004 è socio onorario della UIL-Unione Nazionale Scrittori e Artisti.


Andrea Pacioni vive e lavora a Roma.

Andrea Pacioni was born in Rome in 8th of March 1970.
He studies in Rome where he gets his Photography Diploma at the “Roberto Rosselini” School for Cinematografy and Television.
His artistic trail begins when he meets Arthur Patten in 1992.
Arturo was portrait photographer of great sensibility, technical ability and inspiration for
innovation as well as a true friend for Pacioni, until the day he died. From that moment Pacioni feels the need of deepen his artistic research. The necessity for capturing his images carries him in a long period of experiments in the dark room. He start to dedicating himself exclusively to this research, which gives to him the opportunity to trial several materials: glass, lead, slate and steel. He discovers new possibilities and new ways of interpreting the photograpy, the proper tool for impressing and modelling the material, which becomes a relevant part of the artistic process, giving back to the image its own original purity and relevance.
For two years long he totally interrupts his professional activity dedicating exclusively to this research that will carry him to realizes “Leaden Visions”, six b/w images handmade printed on lead sheets, that will be exposed in Rome, London and Paris.
In 2006 he realizes “the Body of Christ”, where the crucifixion has been represented by a black man image handmade printed on black slate.
Also in this case the entire procedure has made manually in darkroom.
This work has been exposed in May 2006 inside the basilic of S. Maria in Montesanto (Church of the Artists) in Rome.
In november of 2006 the S. Cecilia gallery of Rome exposes “Souls”.
"Souls" is a work realized inside of the institute Boys Town.
The Boys Town is a College for young orphans situated in the periphery south of Rome.
Who has had the fortune or the misfortune to grow up in that place keep on feeling the trace of that passage.
A piece of the own soul will always remain between those four walls.
The “Souls” are very light sails of photographic emulsion without support, hung to a fine steel thread inside of boxes of iron and glass.

From 2004 He is honorary associate of "UIL-National Union Writers and Artists".
